ADAMA: the key to Fundraising is to unite creativity and RSE

Consolidate a new way of considering the fundraising was one of the aims of the early days of Adama. Already in 2008, we believed in the diversity of sources of funding - involving companies and public bodies alike - something that went against the general trend of opting only for public subsidies.  Undeniably, this was demonstrated as a good decision that has allowed ADAMA continue swimming in the tides of cuts that has suffered the Third Sector. And, in fact, the drop in aids reached up to 40%.

To alleviate all of these measures of cut, ADAMA has bet for creative ideas within the fundraising, implementing this creativity in all our levels of work. Thus, periodically, the Department of fundraising, performed creative sessions of work, “Brainstorming” and other techniques to boost the new ideas of added value, together with experts in the field.

All this work has led us to implement various campaigns of which we will mention the more recent representative examples.

During the Christmas holidays of 2012-2013, ADAMA launched several campaigns that helped to initiate 8 projects we had on hold.

On the one hand, a campaign was launched with Abacus that enabled us to have book points in their spots of sale and shops, and thus collect funds that financed our projects with the children. It can be considered a success because almost the entire stock of book points was sold; in addition, a high impact on the media, between the clients of Abacus, was achieved.

The Christmas Lottery campaign had a similar approach, although in this case, it allowed us to be put in contact with companies that we didn´t previously work. The scope of this campaign was huge, with many workers of the participating companies, such as Eden Springs, supporting the initiative through the sale of solidarity lottery of ADAMA.

Finally, we could give shape to the campaign: "5 reasons to leave a trace, which involved five companies to give a first funding for five projects. We emphasize the support of Unilever Spain that promoted our project for the children at the Center Rialles, the Foundation Albertis  which did the same with the Residence Refuge of Workers (the elderly); and Vittalia Internet and the company Sofamel that helped to initiate the project in the Centro Integral Meridiana.

Thanks to all this work, this year we have also received several donations in kind; the last one, the donation from Abertis of 16 televisions with flat screen to the centers where Adama works; and another two, which are very representative; these are: the donation of a conditioned air of Eurofred that has allowed to more than 70 volunteers work in decent conditions, and the donation of Kibuc that donated several furnishings from their exhibition, to 3 of the projects with which we work.

Finally, corporate volunteers have also been a strategic part of our actions, where we have a special good reminiscence of the exit to the Chocolate Museum carried out together with workers of Barclays, and 40 people with Functional Diversity, some of them in a situation of risk exclusion.

Our differential factor, the creativity that characterizes us, is the one that has kept us safe and in which we trust, considering the times of cuts that run. And it is that you never know where the long-desired solution can reach for the Social Third Sector.

From here, we want to thank all the companies that believe in us. With them we have found great partners.
